892,814. Gramophone pick-ups; locking out of operative position. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. Oct. 17, 1958 [July 22, 1957], No. 23130/57. Class 40 (2). An auto-changer pick-up arm d is locked to a side-rest c by an arm g pivotally mounted to the motor switch e. Operation of the switch in the " ON " direction causes a pin i to displace the arm g to the position g<SP>1</SP>, unlocking the pick-up. The switch, which is spring- biased to the Fig. 1 position, returns thereto or may be further turned to the " OFF " position without moving the locking arm from the g<SP>1</SP> position. After use, the pick-up arm may be manually locked by replacing the arm g to its initial position.
