Abstract

891,243. Dust-laden air filters. WRIGHT BROS. (SHEET METAL WORKERS) Ltd. Nov. 28, 1960 [Dec. 1, 1959], No. 40767/59. Class 8(2). A dust-laden air filter comprises a vertical casing 1, Fig. 4, in which is suspended a filter bag 20 having an out-turned rim portion 19, Fig. 5, clamped between an in-turned flange 17 of the casing 1 and a sealing ring 16 secured to a lid 5 held by a clip 18 and hinged about a duct 6 having at least one open end connected by a hose (not shown) to the source of dust-laden air and a lateral slot 12 opening to the interior of the lid and hence the bag mouth and through which dust-laden air is drawn by a motor-driven fan 23 located adjacent a casing outlet 3 and discharging clean air through a duct 22.
