Abstract

891,216. Aerials. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIC SANS FIL. Sept. 13, 1960 [Sept. 16, 1959], No. 31496/60. Class 40(7). A radio horn for circularly polarized waves comprises a horn with means for spacing at a predetermined distance the phase centres respectively corresponding to the mutually perpendicular polarization components. In one embodiment, the means comprises one or more rods 60-63 mounted close to, and parallel to, one of the sides 2 of the horn. Preferably the distance between the rods and wall 2 is one tenth of that between the rods and wall 3. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the rods are replaced by a plate which has the same effect as the rods. A reflector may be associated with the horn.
