890,429. Machine-tool details. HERBERT Ltd., ALFRED. Oct. 21, 1960 [Oct. 26, 1959], No. 36128/59. Class 83 (3). An indexible turret rotated by gear teeth from a Geneva wheel 2 has means capable of storing energy during deceleration of the indexing and of releasing the stored energy to assist the movement in a fresh indexing operation. A star-shaped wheel 4 is arranged fast on the shaft of the Geneva wheel and the shape of its lobes correspond to the acceleration and deceleration of the Geneva mechanism. A roller 6 on a bell-crank lever 5 engages the periphery of the star-wheel and the other end of the lever engages a compression spring 16 for storing the energy.
