Abstract
890,422. Tanks. GREENGATE & IRWELL RUBBER CO. Ltd., and MARSHALL, D. D. Oct. 7, 1960 [Feb. 18, 1960], No. 5715/60. Class 69 (1). A floating cover of flexible material such as nylon fabric for storage tanks is adapted for insertion through a small inlet in the tank roof and stiffened by springs inserted in pockets attached to or forming part of the material. In an example, pockets 3, Fig. 1, may be circumferential or pockets 5 may be radial and contain springs of metal or plastic material. Additional or alternative pockets 4 may be segmental and contain rigid or semi-rigid material.
