Abstract

888,818. Hopper deliveries. SCHWARZ, E. Oct. 27, 1959 [Oct. 27, 1958], No. 36452/59. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXII] A slide-bar feed device for feeding working pieces from a hopper to a press is characterized in that the slide-bar 20 is connected with a piston-rod 23 of a driving cylinder 24 through a guide rod linkage having at least two members, such that one guide rod 16 is supported at one end so as to swing in a fixed bearing 18 while its other end 19 acts on the second guide rod 17 which is connected with the slide-bar and, at about its centre 22 is pivoted to the pistonrod of the driving cylinder, the slide-bar being mounted on guideways 27 having a round cross-section. The driving cylinder is pivotally mounted at 25 and is provided with a control valve 26, e.g. a double-acting magneticallyoperated valve energized in dependence upon the position of the press ram or its crankshaft. The articulation points 18, 19, 22 and 21 of the linkage are approximately equally spaced from each other. Stops 28 and 29 are provided on the guideways 27 and the stop 29 is adjusted by a setting device 30, 31 to vary the stroke of the slide-bar.
