Abstract

The automatic screwdriver has the screwdriver itself mounted on a slide moving in the housing independently of the screw holder with feed mechanism in the axial direction of the screw, and two double-acting rams. One ram cylinder is positively coupled to the slide and its piston rod to the housing. The other ram cylinder is coupled to the housing and its piston rod to the screw holder. The piston rod acts as a guide for the slide. There can be a bar fixed to the housing and passing freely through the slide, having one or more adjustable stops limiting the amt. of slide movement.
