[Also in Group II] A domestic mixing and comminuting machine has a two-part contained 3, 4 separating at the greatest diameter which is at or immediately above the cutter level. The upper part 4 has tapering baffles 12; the two parts seat on a gasket 9 and are held together by handles 14 pivoted at 13, engaging in a groove 16 and secured by toggle levers 17. There is a detachable cap with funnel-shaped filling orifice 11. The blades may consist of two pairs 6 arranged at rightangles and bent upwards and downwards respectively at an angle of 15 degrees to the horizontal; in this case the bowl bottom 3 is raised at the centre as shown. Alternatively, there may be three pairs of blades 5, of which the lowest pair 7 is curved backwards, and the upper pair forwards, in relation to the direction of rotation. The apparatus may be driven by an asynchronous motor.
