R<SP>1</SP> #| Compounds of formula R-NH-N-CS-R<SP>11</SP> wherein R may be an acyl, benzyl or furfuryl group, R<SP>1</SP> hydrogen or aryl and R<SP>11</SP> -SCH 3 , -NH 2 , -NHCH 3 or -N(CH 3 ) 2 are provided along with nuclei or nuclei-forming substances in the receiving layer or are used in the developing solution to produce positive images of increased blackness. 1 - Benzylthiosemicarbazide, 1-(21-furfuryl) thiosemicarbazide, 1-benzoylthiosemicarbazide, 1 - p - - toluenesulphonylthiosemicarbazide, methyl #-butyroyldithiocarbazinate and methyl α-benzoyldithiocarbazinate are quoted for the purpose, and details are provided in two examples. Initial use of a soft emulsion layer overlying the receiving layer, developer in the emulsion, hypo in the receiving layer and such like alternatives are indicated. Specification 571,174 is referred to.
