Abstract

1530398 Colour radiographic silver halide processing FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 2 Dec 1976 [5 Dec 1975] 50381/76 Heading G2C A process comprises (A) imagewise exposing to x-rays a silver halide light-sensitive radiographic material containing a coupler of the Formula: where R<SP>1</SP> is a 9-25C monovalent aliphatic or aromatic group; R<SP>2</SP> is a 2-6C divalent aliphatic or aromatic group; and X is H or a coupling-off group, (B) colour developing in an aqueous alkaline solution containing a colour developing agent and (C) fixing, without removing image silver. In the Examples R<SP>2</SP> is (CH 2 ) 2 , X is H, and R<SP>1</SP> is C 9 H 1 9 , C 1 3 H 27 or α-(2, 4-di-pentyl-phenoxy) propyl. Image density is increased allowing the amount of silver halide to be reduced, and good colour x-ray images can be obtained using this process. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1358635.
