Class 146(3) [Also in Group XVII] A stationery container comprises a box and a plurality of stationery supports each comprising a partition 23, removably mounted in an inclined position in the box and having a plurality of holes 31 therein, and a plurality of stops adapted to be mounted in selected holes so as to assist in defining compartments of the required size to accommodate piles of stationery of different sizes with their upper edges adjacent the upper ends of the compartments. Selected holes 31 are engaged by cylindrical pegs 33 having an axially extended screw-threaded socket or spigot at one end engaged by a screw-threaded spigot or nut respectively, after the spigot has been passed through a hole in the plate. The pegs are employed to separate two laterally spaced piles of stationery supported by one of the partitions and to support the piles with their upper edges adjacent the top of the partition. A bar 29 at the lower edge of each partition provides a stationery supporting ledge 30 which is inclined at about 80 degrees to the upper face of the partition, so that the upper edge of a pile of stationery resting thereon is similarly inclined, to facilitate removal of items from the pile. The pegs may be provided with extensions 39, Fig. 5 (not shown). Alternatively, the stops are in the form of bars 42 shaped similarly to bars 29 and having cylindrical pins to engage the holes 31 in a push fit. The box may be closed by a lid comprising two parts each having a strip 20 at one end fitting within the box to prevent endwise and lateral movement of the parts when the box is closed, and a hooked part 19 at the other end whereby the parts may be suspended on the ends of the box as shown in Fig. 2.
