Card storage apparatus comprises a platform or turntable 3 divided by radial portions 6 into compartments 7 each containing a detachable card-holding tray 8 which is substantially sector-shaped in plan, means being provided for preventing inadvertent horizontal displacement of the trays from the platform, and the platform being so shaped that the front portion of each tray projects outwardly beyond the outer edge of the platform and so that the outer corner portions of each tray lie over, and are supported by, the platform, the projecting, front portion of each tray being liftable from beneath. The platform 3 which may be fixedly or rotatably mounted, comprises a plurality of overlapping plates of triangular form having an integral upstanding wall 6 on one side carrying a vertical tubular part 20 constituting a handle, secured together to form a platform hexagonally-shaped in plan. The trays 8 are interiorly divided by curved partitions 16 and provided with lifting handles 15 at their inner ends. A slot in the base of each tray is engaged by an upstanding tongue 17 at the rear of each compartment, to prevent inadvertent horizontal displacement of the trays. In a modified form of tray, Fig. 10 (not shown), the tray is divided by sheet metal partitions extending the full depth of the tray and having end flanges, which are inserted in slots in the inner walls of double-walled side portions of the tray, and bottom integral lugs engaging slots in the base of the tray. A number of rotatable platforms may be mounted one above the other on the outer ends of a corresponding number of angularly movable arms mounted on a common vertical shaft. Two such units may be connected by a table. Alternatively the apparatus comprises a single fixed platform.
