Abstract

1,148,150. Portable containers. RUBBERMAID Inc. 21 Dec., 1967 [13 March, 1967], No. 58038/67. Heading B8D. [Also in Division A4] A rotary tiered container set comprises a lower platform 10 rotatably mounted on a base 19 and provided with radial partitions (24), 25, 26 located between removable sectorshaped containers 11, 12, 13. An upper platform 14 is connected to the upper ends of the radial partitions and supports a circular container 15, or two or more sector-shaped containers. Ball-bearings (21) are disposed between the platform 10 and the base 19 which has an out-turned horizontal flange (20) which snaps over a horizontal inturned flange (18) on the platform 10. The containers 11, 12, 13 are of different sizes and projections (13e) on the bottom walls of the containers are received in holes (11d 12d, 13d) in the lower platform 10. Hand holds on the containers are formed by recesses 13f with overhanging flanges 13g.
