Abstract
Chlorinated amine salts, e.g. hydrochlorides and sulphates are prepared by the process described and claimed in Specification 726,820. Specified amines used as starting material are n-octylamine, n-decylamine, n-dodecylamine, n-tetradecylamine, aminomethyltricyclodecane, 1 - amino - 3:5:5 - trimethylhexane, dodecyl - amine mixture obtained from undecylene by oxo synthesis and subsequent reaction of the aldehyde with ammonia, mixture of 9% n-decylamine, 47% n-dodecylamine, 18% of n-tetradecylamine and 26% of other amines. Specification 565,469 also is referred to.ALSO:A fungicidal composition comprises as an active substance, an amine salt containing per mol. of amine salt more than 2 and not more than 15 gram-atoms of chlorine directly linked to carbon, the chlorinated amine salt having been produced by the chlorination of an alkyl or cycloalkyl amine salt. The chlorinated amine salt may be a hydrochloride. Solid diluents and dispersing or solubility agents may also be included. Specified active ingredients are HCl.NH2C8H13.1Cl3.9, HCl.NH2C10H15.2Cl5.8, HCl.NH2C12H17.6Cl7.4, HCl.NH2C14H20.6Cl8.4, HCl.NH2C11H10.8Cl6.2, HCl.NH2C9H15.7Cl3.3, HCl.NH2C12H17.5Cl7.5, 1/2 H2SO4.NH2C12H19.7 Cl5.3.
