Abstract

883,932. Jacquards. RUTI MACHINERY WORKS Ltd. May 13, 1960 [May 15, 1959], No. 16979/60. Class 142(2) A lifting element for open-shed or other jacquards consists of pulleys 2, 3 round which pass cords 4. The pulleys run on axles 7 carried by cheeks 5 which are joined together along one edge 6 but are unconnected at the other edge; the cheeks can be sprung apart to insert the axles, which have reduced ends of non-circular cross-section to snap into apertures in the cheeks. Alternatively, the margins of square holes in the cheeks can be turned in to enter recesses in the ends of the axles. The pulleys and axles are made of synthetic material, the axles being impregnated with graphite.
