Abstract

883,895. Constructional toys. WARMEX Ltd., and GOLDSTEIN, A. Nov. 12, 1958, No. 36404/58. Class 132(3) A component for a constructional toy comprises a flat strip of thermoplastic material such as high density or high-pressure polythene having apertures therethrough along its axial or centre line and an integral circular plug which projects from a surface and at right angles to the surface or from an edge and in the plane of the strip, the plug being a tight push fit in an aperture of another similar strip and having an axial length greater than the thickness of the similar strip. As shown in Fig. 1, a strip has apertures 13 and hollow plugs 14 extending at right angles from one or both surfaces, the apertures having chord-like projections 19, Fig. 4, for gripping plugs inserted therein. As shown in Fig. 7, a component is of Y-formation and has solid plugs 24 lying in the plane of the strip in addition to hollow plugs 14. Fig. 8 shows plugs in the plane of the strip only. A strip may be shaped as a flat circumferential portion of a circle. Specification 862,964 is referred to.
