883,238. Cartons. HOGDAL, S. B. Aug. 21, 1959, No. 28662/59. Class 18. A carton comprises a shell 1 and a lining 2 made from a continuous band of paper or other material treated to protect it against chemicals and bent so as to divide the interior of the shell into two or more openended chambers 3, 4 and form the inner surface of each chamber. A plastics lining 8 may be provided, so that wet or hygroscopic goods may be placed in the compartment 4 ; heat sealed joints are effected at 6, 7. In a modification, the partition is of double thickness, various arrangements being described ; in further modifications, three or more chambers are provided. Specification 651,711 is referred to.
