A vehicle body is provided with integral abutments to accommodate tubes 3, 4, 5 which support hammock-type beds. The rear tube 4 is inserted downwardly into the upwardly opening sockets 7 and is then secured in position by the bolt 33<SP>1</SP>. The front tubes 3, 5 are first inserted in the fixed abutments 25 at the sides of the vehicle and then inserted in one of the holes 17, 18 or 19 in the lever 11 which can then be rotated about its pivot 16 to tension the beds, the catch 28 retaining the lever in the forward position.
