The body 8 of a motor vehicle is removably mounted on a tipping sub-frame 6 hinged at 7 to the vehicle chassis 5. The feet 15 on the body 8 enter corresponding recesses in the sub-frame 6 and are retained therein by pins 16. The feet are preferably of truncated conical form but with the generatrix facing the rear of the vehicle vertical.
