A trailer frame is provided with a circular member 1 of channel shaped cross-section arranged so that when the trailer is loaded the tyres enter between the flanges of the channel thus enabling a reduction in loading height to be attained. The longitudinals may also be arranged so that the rear wheels may be similarly accommodated.
