Abstract

882,434. Cooling motors. AUSTIN MOTOR CO. Ltd. Sept. 6, 1960 [July 15, 1959], No. 24272/59. Addition to 854,895. Class 79(3). A liquid cooled engine A is disposed transversely at the front of a vehicle and is additionally cooled by two fans E, one at each side of the vehicle, each associated with its own radiator B or C each of which faces transversely with respect to the front air intake D. Each fan is guarded by a cowling F and the air exit face of each radiator matrix adjoins a short duct G welded to the corresponding front wing valance H provided with slots for the escape of air. A rubber gasket I is fitted between each radiator and duct.
