Abstract
881,150. Transistor switching circuits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 26, 1959 [Nov. 27, 1958], No. 38348/58. Class 40(6). A switching circuit comprises a transistor V1 in common emitter configuration having its collector directly connected to the base of a second transistor V2 connected in common collector configuration, the arrangement being such that in the absence of an input pulse V1 is cut off, and V2 is conducting. Negative input pulse applied to input terminal 1 switch V1 on and V2 off. A coupling diode D2 is connected from the collector of V1 to the emitter of V2 such that the output to terminal 2 is supplied from a conducting transistor. Clamping diodes D3 and D4 are provided to prevent saturation of the transistors when conducting. The output circuit has a low impedance, and hole storage when V1 conducts is therefore minimised. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 829,261.
