Abstract
896,704. Transistor switching circuits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 5, 1960 [Aug. 10, 1959], No. 27263/59. Class 40(6). A switching circuit comprises two transistors T1, T2 coupled via a diode D, such that when the first transistor T1 is conducting the diode D is forward biased and the transistor T2 cut off, and vice versa. The bias circuit comprising resistors R1, R3, R4 and bias source +V is so arranged that with diode D non-conducting the transistor T2 is held fully conductive. When transistor Tl and diode D conduct, the potential at P drops to earth potential cutting T2 off. A number of drive circuits may be connected through individual diodes to a common driven circuit, Fig. 2 (not shown) to form an "AND" gate, or alternatively one drive circuit may be connected to a number of driven circuits through individual diodes.
