Abstract
880,148. Moulding slabs, tiles &C. GIANNELLI, G. Jan. 2, 1959 [Jan. 4, 1958], No. 141/59. Class 87(2). In a machine for making slabs, tiles and the like, a die carrier 6 is located in pressing and ejecting positions by being moved beyond the position and then reversed until stops 10, 24, Fig. 4, are brought into engagement. The dies 7 are resiliently supported by arms 6 carried by a central assembly 5 which is coupled to a disc 13 by pairs of springs 19a, 19b. Disc 13 is driven by a motor 15 through gearing 14 and brought to rest by brakes 23. When the disc 13 has come to rest, Fig. 3, fluid pressure cylinders 21 and pistons 22 are operated under the control of distributers 18a, 18b to return the dies to the position seen in, Fig. 2 (not shown).
