Abstract
879,701. Skips. DURST, F. Feb. 18, 1960 [Feb. 18, 1959], No. 5742/60. Class 78 (4). [Also in Group XXV] A skip 1 has a hinged drop bottom 5 held by a catch 9 biased by gravity, or by a spring, to engage automatically when the bottom is closed. As shown the skip is used in conjunction with a shoot 22 to deliver through window 23 of a building and the skip can be dragged into position over the shoot 22, and the catch 9 released, by a tool 19 which terminates in a downwardly concave member 18 formed with an aperture to receive the end 11 of the catch 9. Chains 16 limit the opening of the bottom 5.
