879,016. Incandescent ignition cut-out devices. KROMSCHRODER A.G., G. June 16, 1960 [June 18, 1959], No. 21188/60. Classes 75(1) and 75(3). An incandescent-ignition cut-out device for gas burners comprises a magnet coil 5 of a magnetic gas valve 6 in series with the primary winding (mains side) 2 of transformer 1 which has a coiled platinum wire 7 as an incandescent ignition coil in series with its secondary winding 3. Switch 4 controls the mains supply to the transformer, which is so designed that in open circuit (e.g. when coil 7 breaks) there is insufficient primary current to energise the magnetic valve coil and hence no gas flows.
