Abstract
879,000. Automatic voltage control systems. NOVI S.A. Oct. 22, 1959 [Feb. 11, 1959], No. 35805/59. Class 38 (4). A battery charging system comprises a battery 1 charged from an alternator 2 having a permanent magnet field by way of a rectifier 3 and a transductor 11 which is controlled in accordance with the battery voltage by means of a voltage regulator 8 followed by an amplifier 19. The regulator 8 comprises a Zener diode and the amplifier 9 transistors. The regulator 8 may alternatively be of a mechanical type, a carbon-pile type or one in which resistors are brought into or taken out of circuit.
