878,422. Valves. WOOD, G. H. A. Nov. 18, 1959 [Jan. 9, 1959], No. 814/59. Class 135. [Also in Group XXVII] A spring-loaded pin 20 in the outer barrel 14 of a cylinder lock engages a recess 23 in a rack 4 linked by an armoured cable 9 to the operating lever 13 of a fuel supply valve of a diesel engine and locates the valve in its closed position until a key 22 rotates the inner lock barrel 17 so that a pin 18 thereon retracts the pin 20 and allows opening of the valve by pulling of a knob 8 on a rack 3 geared to the rack 4.
