In apparatus for harvesting and conveying stem-formed crops, of the kind having beaten knives mounted in holders attached to a knife drum, a knife comprises a plate 11 having its sides sharpened to form cutting edges and being adjustably secured to the holder 33 so that it may be rotated to select a cutting edge for use. The knife holders, which may be mounted on a shaft extending the length of the drum or form a V-shape around the drum casing are twisted inwardly towards a delivery device 29.
