878,188. Concrete mixers. FEJMERT, E. V. Nov. 13, 1958, No. 36487/58. Class 86 In a concrete mixer of the type having a stationary longitudal annular tank in which mixing blades trace a circular path about a central vertical axis, the blades 3-7 are secured to plates each carried by a pivoted arm 8 and are urged against the tank bottom by a flat spring 10 the pressure of which is adjustable by a screw 12. A second adjusting screw 11 determines the minimum clearance between the mixing blades and the bottom of the tank. The blades and plates having elongated bolt holes whereby the blades can be adjusted relative to the plates. The mixing blades are arranged to move at a minimum speed of 2 metres per second round the tank and are set at an angle to the vertical so that the material is thrown upwards and to the rear in relation to the fast moving blade. The blades are also set at an angle to the direction of rotation so that each blade directs the material into the furrow formed by the blade ahead.
