Abstract
877,617. Cabinets, drawers. BJORGE, C. J. May 7, 1960, No. 16231/60. Class 52(1). [Also in Group XV] In a vertical assembly of sliding shelves or drawers, runners are detachably fixed by pivoted members to the side walls of the enclosing carcase at a variable height and slope, and the shelves or drawers are releasably locked in the closed position and can be retained in at least one open position. As shown, runners 13 are slidably carried on blocks 10, pivoted on supports 14, 15, which are releasably engaged in apertures 3 in rails 2. The drawers are held closed by engagement of catch 17a with a pin carried by each support 14. Runners 13 carry pivoted latches 23 which pass through slots 22 and engage flanges 22b of the drawer to limit its withdrawal. The latches may be manually pivoted out of the slots 22 to allow the drawers to be removed. Flanged partitions 5, sliding cross partitions 9, and a spring retracted label holder are provided.
