Abstract

1348857 Hinges CARSON OFFICE FURNITURE (PRODUCTION) Ltd 19 June 1972 28670/72 Heading E2F An article of office furniture such as a filing cabinet includes a hinge between a moveable member 1 and a fixed member 13, a horizontal bar 2 on the member 1 having pin members 8, 9 which engage in holes in bearing members 6, 7 and a flange portion 12' which prevents ary movement of the bar about pins 8, 9; the pin member 8 being retractable against the force of spring 10 to enable the bar to be detached from its bearings, and a number of pairs of holes being provided in the bearing members 6, 7 in rows extending into and out of the plane of the drawing for selective engagement by the pin members. The bar 2 is linked to the member 1 by tongue and slot devices 3, 4 engaging a portion 5, and may be disengaged by first removing tongue 3' from its slot then sliding out tongue 4'; the portion 5 being slidably mounted in bar 2 and can be moved horizontally leftwards.
