Abstract

877,029. Electrotherapeutic apparatus. RELAXACIZOR Inc. Sept. 11, 1959 [Sept. 12, 1958], No. 31107/59. Class 81 (2). In a transistor-actuated wave generator for therapeutic use, two transistors 23, 24, connected as a multivibrator, control a switching transistor 36, which, being connected in the power lead to a blocking oscillator 40, determines the timing of the latter in accordance with the pulsing of the multivibrator. The blocking oscillator comprises, with the transistor 40, a transformer 41 having a feedback winding 41b and an output winding 41c. The oscillations are slightly .damped by a resistor 46 across the primary winding. The winding 41c is connected through a power transistor 48 to an output transformer 49 having several output windings 49b for connection to applicator pads 15. In a modification the multivibrator and the transistor 36 are replaced by a blocking oscillator controlling an electromagnetic relay.
