[Also in Group XXXI] In a two-wheel vehicle drive comprising an output shaft drivable by an engine through a belt arrangement or by a pedal crank arrangement, the pedal crank arrangement can be connected separately from the belt arrangement to start the engine. During the starting process the pedal shaft 1 drives the sprocket wheel 2 which is connected to the pedal shaft 1 by way of a dog clutch 3, the drive being effected by way of the sprocket wheel 4 which during the starting process is loose on the shaft. From there the drive is transmitted to the sprocket wheel 5 which is fastened on the shaft 6. By means of the shaft 6 on which is mounted the dog clutch 7, which during the starting process couples the sprocket wheel 8 to the shaft 6, the drive is transmitted to the sprocket wheel 9 which is fixed on the crank-shaft 10. The motor drive by way of the belt 11 is not loaded during starting. Modified arrangements are described in the Specification with reference to Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown).
