Abstract

876,124. Pulse discriminating circuits. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. Dec. 3, 1959 [Dec. 3, 1958], No. 41089/59. Drawings to Specification. Addition to 859,881. Class 40(6) The invention relates to a circuit of the type described in the parent Specification for producing pulses corresponding to the longer pulses of a mixture of longer and shorter pulses, e.g. mixed line and frame television synchronizing pulses, in which the pulses are fed to tuned circuit connected in parallel with a rectifier so that an appreciable voltage is built up in the circuit only during the longer pulses. According to the invention, the rectifier is of the semi-conductor type and is biased so as to be conducting for any forward signal voltage. The circuit may be connected in the anode path of a valve which is normally either non-conducting or conducting (Figs. 1 and 4 not shown) and the bias may be provided by the current through the resistance of the inductance of the tuned circuit (Fig. 5, not shown).
