Abstract
1,116,362. Television. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 13 Sept., 1965 [16 Sept., 1964], No. 38955/65. Heading H4F. In a circuit arrangement for separating synchronizing pulses from a composite waveform in television apparatus, wherein the composite waveform 4 from source 3 is applied to the base of a transistor amplifier 1 via a path including capacitor 2 provided with a leak resistor 7, 8, the resistor is arranged to be non-linear, increasing in value with increasing current therein, by the provision of a suitably biased diode 8. The effect of the invention is to render the bias applied to the transistor less dependent upon the amplitude of the picture signal during line intervals whereby the separated synchronizing pulses are maintained more nearly constant in amplitude than if the leak resistor were linear.
