Abstract
The invention comprises the compound 1-methyl-1-(1-phenyl-2-propyl)-hydrazine having the formula <FORM:0874198/IV (b)/1> and the preparation thereof by treating d-desoxyephedrine in aqueous acid medium with an alkali metal nitrite and reducing the product with lithium aluminium hydride. The compound is a mono-amine oxidase inhibitor.
