Abstract

873,628. Nozzle stand supports. McINNES, J. M. Nov. 18, 1958 [Nov. 18, 1957], No. 35776/57. Class 47. A base support for a fire hose nozzle stand comprises a carrier plate 10, Fig. 3, having one fixed and two independently pivotable legs 15, 12 and at least two upstanding spigots 11, there being locking means whereby the two pivotable legs may be secured in an outspread position. The legs 12 are pivoted on pins 13 which can be moved into any of the holes 14, a leg being locked in the outspread position by a drop pin 17 engaged through an appropriate hole 18. The ground spikes 19, Fig. 1, can be adjusted vertically and locked by the screws 20 and the leg 15 has a telescopic extension, carrying a claw 22, which may be locked in a desired extension by a screw 21. The base support may be secured by lashings attached to an eyebolt 23. The spigots 11 may support a fire hose nozzle stand as described in Specification 732,106.
