Abstract

604,025. Adjustable stands. MATHAMS, A. M. Nov. 21, 1945, No. 31318. [Class 52(iii)] An educational appliance comprises a pair of stands 4 provided with uprights 3 having telescoped therein vertical members 5 which may be secured in position by means of locking pins 6. A horizontal axle 7 is pivoted between and lockable to the vertical members 5 by means of nuts 9 and carries a rotary tablet 8 which may be clamped at a desired angle on the axle by means of lock nuts 10. One side of the tablet 8 is provided with flexible straps for holding a book while the reverse side may be used as a blackboard. The stands may have pivotally attached thereto a cabinet 11, and eye bolts 13 are provided on members 5, also the axle 7 may carry playing discs 15. In a modified form of construction the telescopic members are tubular.
