Abstract
873,567. Felted fibre battery-separators. INSTITUT FUR ZELLSTOFF UND PAPIER. Oct. 1, 1958, No. 31409/58. Class 96. Separators for electric accumulators are made by adding to a suspension of fibres, e.g. of cotton, rags, wool, linen, glass, asbestos, basalt, or artificial cellulosic or other synthetic filaments, an aqueous dispersion of synthetic rubber, or a polyvinyl or polyacrylic derivative in the presence of kaolin, talc, or blanc fixe &c., precipitation being effected at pH=4.5, using potassium-aluminium sulphate.
