Abstract
871,775. Adjusting body height. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. Sept. 10, 1959 [Sept. 24, 1958], No. 30949/59. Class 108(2). A pneumatic suspension for motor vehicles comprises pneumatic springs 1 associated with the wheels and connected by ducts 2 to levelcontrol valves 3. The control valves 3 are connected through a reducing valve 12 to a compressed air reservoir 6 which is supplied with compressed air by an air compressor 9 through a duct 7 provided with a non-return valve 8. The valves 3 are also connected by ducts to atmosphere through a pressure-limiting valve 13. There may be a reducing valve and a pressure-limiting valve for each vehicle axle and these may be set for the same or different pressure valves as the valves of the other axle. It is also possible to provide a pressure-limiting valve and a reducing valve for one axle only. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 811,265:
