Class 106(5) [Also in Group XXIX] A dispensing device comprises an outer cylindrical body 10 having an inlet 11 and an outlet 12, and an inner cylindrical container 20 rotably mounted within the body 10 and having two inlets 22, 23 and two outlets 24, 25 so arranged in relation to the inlet and outlet in the body that in one angular position of the container material can flow into, and be retained in, the container, in another position the material in the container is dispensed, and in a third position the container allows continuous flow from the supply. The body 10 has a shoulder 13 at its outer end against which the container is held by a plug 26 screwed into the container, the plug 26 being provided with a thumb-piece-27 by which the container can be turned from the first position, in which the inlet 23 is in register with the inlet 11, through a given angle in one direction to bring the outlet 25 into register with the outlet 12 whilst closing the inlet 11, and in the other direction to bring the inlets 22, 11 and the outlets 12, 24 into register so allowing continuous flow. The container 20 may be spring-loaded so that it tends to assume the first position when released or it may be located in each of its three positions by mounting in a hole in the plug 26, a spring- loaded ball 30 which co-operates with recesses 33 in the end of the body 10 to locate the container correctly. The body 10 has an aperture 18 forming a vent to prevent air locks.
