Abstract

870,536. Buoyant fittings. AMERICAN ALLSAFE CO. Inc. Aug. 27, 1959 [June 19, 1959], No. 29315/59. Class 77. [Also in Group X] A buoyant ladder comprises tubular stiles 20 of synthetic plastic bonded fibres and rungs 16 passing into the stiles adhesively united with the inner and outer walls 18, 19 thereof. The rungs, preferably of synthetic resin bonded fibres, are closed at their ends by plugs 25. The stiles are closed at the top by by caps 35 and at the bottom by plugs 38. A shoe 42 may be bolted to the bottom of each stile which can be strengthened internally by further lengths of fibre &c.
