Abstract

869,196. Counting-apparatus; date indicators. DOM, C. March 23, 1959 [May 29, 1958], No. 10038/59. Classes 106 (1) and 106 (4). [Also in Group XV] A case of the watch-case type has a ring 9 angularly movable with respect to the glass-rim 2 and provided with an index 20 co-operating with a scale 21. The case may contain a watch, the scale 21 being on the rim 2 or on the dial and having twelve or thirty-one indicia for denoting the month or date. Alternatively the case may contain a counter as described in Specification 838,966 actuable by depression of a knob 6, the scale 21 serving to extend the range of the counter by manual setting. The undersurface of ring 9 has radial grooves 25 corresponding to the indicia of scale 21 and engaged by a spring- loaded pin 22 to justify the ring. The glass rim 2 and ring 9 have aligned grooves 11, 12 receiving a resilient ring 10 which prevents axial removal of the ring. However, the ring 10 is split and of such breadth relative to the grooves 11, 12 that it can be compressed to lie wholly within groove 11 to allow removal of the ring 9.
