Abstract
810,462. Watches. PIQUEREZ, E. Sept. 1, 1955 [Sept. 24, 1954], No. 25161/55. Class 139 A watch case 1. Fig. 1, is provided with a plastic crystal 5 and a glass crystal 4. A compressible packing 3 is interposed between the glass 4 and a flange 2. A resilient ring 6 is located inside the crystal 5. If desired a moisture-absorbing substance, which may be such as to change its colour under the action of moisture, may be located in the gap between the two crystals. In another example, Fig. 3, the outer plastic crytal 5 is retained by a ring 6 and the inner glass crystal 4 is retained by a ring 10 clamped between, a shoulder of the mystal 5 and an upstanding projection 9 of the case. The.dial markings may be on the ring 10. In another example, Fig. 4, the outer crystal 5 is retained by a ring 12 and the inner crystal by a ring 14. The packing 3, Figs. 1 and 3, or 13, Fig. 4, may be constituted by a waterproof cement.
