Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula: <FORM:0868508/IV (b)/1> wherein R represents a fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom or an alkyl or nitro group, n is 1, 2 or 3 and m is 0, 1 or 2. They possess saliuretic properties, and may be produced by reacting a compound of the general formula: <FORM:0868508/IV (b)/2> with an aldehyde of the general formula: C6H5(CH2)m-S-(CH2)n-CHO or a reactive derivative thereof. The Provisional Specification comprises also part of the subject-matter of Specification 863,474, being identical with the sixth Provisional Specification thereof.
