Abstract

Amidophosphoric acid esters of the general formulae: <FORM:0867820/IV (b)/1> <FORM:0867820/IV (b)/2> in which R and R1 each represent an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or hydroaryl radical, which are used in the antistatic treatment of synthetic fibres and foils (see Group IV(c)) are prepared by reacting phosphoric acid ester chlorides with primary or secondary amines at a temperature of about 30 DEG C. in the presence of a chlorinated hydrocarbon, e.g. carbon tetrachloride or chloroform, and pyridine. Specified amido phosphoric acid esters are dimethylstearyl amido phosphate, diethyloleyl amidophosphate, diethyl - 2 - ethylhexylamide-phosphate, diisopropylstearyl amido phosphate, ethyl distearylamido phosphate, ethyl 6 di-(coconut-amido)-phosphate, ethyldicyclohexyl-amido-phosphate, diphenylstearylamide phosphate, diphenyl cyclohexylamino phosphate, ethyl di(mono-2-ethyl-hexyl) amido phosphate, ethyl di(di-2-ethylhexyl-) amido phosphate, butyldistearylamidophosphate, phenyldistearylamido-phosphate, phenyldilaurylamido phosphate and phenyldicyclohexylamidophosphate.ALSO:Synthetic filaments, fibres and foils are treated with an amidophosphoric acid ester of the general formula:- <FORM:0867820/IV(c)/1> in which R and R1 each represent an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or hydroaryl radical, to reduce their tendency to become electrostatically charged. Specified amidophosphoric acid esters are diethyl stearylamidophosphate, diethyloleylamidophosphate, diethyl- 2-ethylhexylamidophosphate, diethyldi- 2-ethylhexylamidophosphate, di-isopropylstearylamidophosphate, ethyldistearylamidophosphate, ethyldi(coconutamido) phosphate, ethyldicyclohexylamidophosphate, diphenylstearylamidophosphate, diphenylcyclohexylamidophosphate, ethyldi(mono- 2-ethyl-hexyl) amidophosphate, ethyl-di-(di-2-ethyl-hexyl) amidophosphate, butyldistearylamidophosphate, phenyldistearylamidophosphate, phenyldilaurylamidophosphate and phenyldicyclohexylamidophosphate. The amidophosphoric acid esters may be applied in solution in an alcohol, e.g. ethanol, or benzene at a temperature of 40 DEG -60 DEG C. in amount of from 0,1-2% by weight, based on the weight of the dry filaments, fibres or foils. Specified synthetic fibres and foils are polyamides and polyesters.
