Abstract

864,389. Armoured vehicles. EVEN, G. April 8, 1958 [April 10, 1957], No. 11110/58. Class 92. A diminutive tank has a body with a flat top 1 in which is a circular opening 5 supporting a ring 6 for the turret and an observation opening 16, which permits the head of an occupant to pass, and is located in a zone of the top 1 defined between a vertical transverse plane tangential to the ring 6, a similar plane through the centre of the ring, the outside top edge between the two planes and another edge between the two planes adjacent, concentric and of only slightly greater radius than the ring 6. The opening 16 may be covered by fixed overhead protection with eye-slits (Fig. 1, not shown). Webs 19, 21 and 22 welded to the tank's sides support the ring 6.
