Abstract
863,141. Terminal boards; printed circuits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 9, 1959 [May 1, 1958], No. 13956/58. Classes 37 and 38 (1). A terminal assembly comprises an insulating base 1 having formed on one surface a number of conductive areas 2 constituting terminals defining a regular pattern and each having one or more holes 3 therein which extend into and preferably through the base. The areas may be formed of copper by a printed-circuit technique and arranged in rows and columns, as shown. Two holes 3 preferably are formed in each conductive area, one of which may receive a component lead and the other an interconnecting lead, both leads being soldered to the area.
