Abstract
862,317. Remote electrical indicators. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO. Ltd. Nov. 27, 1959 [Dec. 17, 1958], No. 40777/58. Class 40 (1). [Also in Group XIX] A D.C. angular positional follow-up indicator for use for readings of, for example, repeated rotations in the same direction includes means for resetting the indicator pointer to zero by rotating the stator through up to 360 degrees without moving the indicator rotor relative to the stator. As shown, the stator is rotated with the rotor 5 in relation to the dial 3, by means of a belt 10 and pulleys 9 and 11 by a resetting knob 7 in front of the dial. Rotation of the stator is limited by a stop arm 12 which is pivoted on an axis 13 and mounted on the back of the dial. One end of the stop can move between two stops 14 and the other end engages a stud 15 mounted on the pulley which rotates the stator, see Fig. 2 (not shown). In this way the stator is allowed a full 360 degrees rotation and no more, and excessive twisting of conductors is avoided.
